Digital Connectivity

The control closet is located near the back door of the main house.  It is equipped with a Leviton Panel, which serves as the hub for all cabling/network jacks in each room.  The entire main home is wired for connectivity.  This was professionally installed by the builder.

There is a ceiling-mounted wifi router near the master bedroom that provides excellent wifi coverage for the entire main home.

An outdoor wifi extender provides excellent wifi coverage for the garage office and garage apartment.

The home is serviced with high-speed fiber optic cable, which is also installed in the central control closet.

Security

Also located in the control closet near the back door is the central control system/computer for the exterior-mounted security cameras.

There are six exterior cameras that provide remote viewing of all main areas of the property.

These cameras can be viewed/monitored remotely using the Hik-Connect app.

Lighting/Fans

Much of the home is equipped with Leviton’s Decora SMART Wifi controls.  It controls a number of the lights and fans inside/outside the home and is incredibly convenient.

The devices can be controlled and scheduled remotely using the myLeviton app-based system. 

The primary bathroom is equipped with an Amazon Alexa light switch which not only controls all connected devices in the home, but also functions as a traditional Alexa assistant.

This Leviton system is first-class and can be easily expanded with additional devices.  There are at least a dozen devices/switches currently installed. 

Digital Locks

The Main house back door and garage apartment door are equipped with the Nest–Yale lock, allowing keyless entry and guest entry management.  It can be controlled and configured remotely using the NEST app.

Garage office (downstairs) – equipped with a digital keypad for keyless entry

Norhill Side Entry security/privacy gate

Sliding motorized gate with remote openers.

Located next to this gate is a “people” door – equipped with a digital keypad for keyless entry.  Perfect for guests who may arrive when you are not home.

Thermostats

Main house thermostat – Nest thermostat that can be controlled and configured remotely.

The garage apartment uses highly efficient minisplit units, which can also be controlled using remote controls and an app-based system.

Sprinkler System

The entire lawn is covered by a Rainbird Sprinkler system.

The system can be remotely managed or configured using the Rainbird app

KitchenAid Range

This gas range/cooktop is high-end and a beautiful centerpiece of the kitchen. It can be controlled using the KitchenAid App.  You can set the oven to preheat remotely or simply check to make sure you’ve shut it off after leaving home (amongst many other things)
