Becky's Best Bungalow Bets for the Week of July 11, 2021: 6 New + This Week in the Heights

912 Cortlandt

Hello BBBB Friends:

Hello BBBB Friend,

A banner week for new listings teamed with a low volume of new contracts for sale pushed the number of available single-family homes in the Heights to over 250 for the first time since January. After a lazy 4th of July weekend, buyers were back out in force at open houses yesterday, for example, we had over 30 groups of people through the open house I was hosting. That’s a lot! It was also a big week for price reductions. Click here to check out the new price tags for several of the homes that are Still on My List.

THIS WEEK IN THE HEIGHTS

The Houston Heights Association monthly meeting will once again be held online. Join via Zoom tomorrow, July 11th at 6:30 pm. This month the speakers will be taking us on a virtual summer vacation. Sound intriguing? Get the details HERE.

A relatively new Heights monthly event, M-K-T Sunset Market will be held this Thursday from 5-9 pm at the M-K-T complex at 600 N Shepherd Dr. Enjoy food, beverages, and live music as you stroll through this new mixed-used development discovering shops, restaurants, and other fun stuff. Face painting and games will be available for kiddos.

Have a great week and,

Let’s go look at houses and talk about selling yours!!!
Becky

I reviewed this home in 2016 as a “serious fixer-upper”. The 2 front doors are a remnant from its days as a duplex. One of the doors currently provides private access to a bedroom. Duplexes were common in the Heights in the early 20th century as were bedrooms with an exterior door that could be rented.
