Hello BBBB Friends:
Although it’s difficult to appreciate when temperatures last week reached 100 degrees in the late afternoon, fall has officially arrived, and this week, bungalows were on the menu. I have five brand-new bungalow listings under $1M to share with you today. Three of my choices are simple bungalows with a single gable on the front. These are appropriately called “gable-front bungalows,” recognizable by their single roof peak and flat face. Keep scrolling down for price improvements, new contracts, and final sales for those homes that are Still on My List.
OCTOBER FUN
October is jam-packed with events. Here are a few Heights highlights:
- October 1 – Houston Heights Boulevard Blitz 5K, 10K, and kid’s 1k. Starting time is 7 am. Following the adult events, the kids will blitz the boulevard in their own 1K. There is also a virtual option for the event, which can be done from the time of registration up until race day on any trail you choose. The registration deadline has been extended to Monday, 9/26 at 8 pm!
- October 7 – 2022 LITH Bash. This fun night out raises funds needed to put on Lights in the Heights! Music, food, and a silent & live auction. 7 pm to 10 pm at the Heights Theater on 19th St.
- October 15 & 16 – Norhill 2022 Bungalow Home Tour. Six outstanding examples of bungalow home architecture will be on display from 12-4 pm on both days.
- October 14-16 – King’s Octoberfest, sponsored by King’s BierHaus and benefitting the Sitter Foundation. Enjoy live German music, massive Oktoberfest tents, exclusive German biers, authentic Oktoberfest food, competitions (including the ever-popular Bavarian Strongman & Strongwoman event), and more. Friday: 3 pm-12 am; Saturday: 12 pm-12 am and Sunday: 12 pm-9 pm at 2044 East TC Jester.
- October 28 – “A Haunting in the Heights” Candlelight Dinner & Auction. Halloween-themed fall event benefitting the Houston Heights Association. Friday, 7 pm at the SPJST Lodge at 1435 Beall Street.
