Becky's Best Bungalow Bets for Oct 8, 2023: Short List + Pumpkin Picks & Tips

Hello BBBB Friends:

Things are looking up! We’ve been savoring autumn weather for days, and the Astros won their first playoff game!

Today, I am featuring three new listings. Also, this was a big week for price reductions, with 25% of homes that are Still on My List receiving price adjustments. To see these properties, along with new contracts and final sales, keep scrolling down!

PERFECT PUMPKIN POINTERS

Observing our neighbors’ creative pumpkin displays this year has inspired me to offer some valuable tips on maintaining the perfect pumpkin presentation from now through Thanksgiving!

  • 🎃 When picking your pumpkin, check thoroughly that it has no bruises or pinholes.
  • ✋ Stems are not handles. They break off easily and speed up the deterioration process.
  • 🧻 Keep your pumpkins dry! Especially if they are touching. This will ensure they don’t begin to rot prematurely.
  • 🔎 Check your pumpkins frequently, discarding any showing signs of rot.
  • 🐛 If you see a pinhole in your pumpkin, that may mean burrowing critters are getting inside. Paint the holes shut with clear nail polish.
  • 📦 Protect both your pumpkin and your porch with a piece of cardboard underneath. While you may enjoy seeing the pumpkins throughout the season, you certainly don’t want a stain to linger year-round.

Head to Facebook to watch my video: https://fb.watch/8SQxBW11sr/ and share your own tips for preserving pumpkins!

Have a great week, and,

Let’s look at houses or talk about selling yours!
