Hello BBBB Friends:
Congratulations to the Houston Astros for making it to the ALCS championship series! This week, it appears folks were more focused on the Astros than house hunting or listing their homes! In addition to my short lineup of new listings, there were several price changes, new contracts, and final sales that you will want to check out, so keep scrolling down! And don’t forget, there are plenty of properties Still on My List!
You may notice something a little different this week. This is the first time I have featured a condominium in BBBB. Bell Heights is the adaptive reuse of the former Bell South Building circa the 1950s. The building was redeveloped in 2016 into a showcase of “lock and leave” loft-style units within walking distance of the 19th Street shopping and dining district. While these units do not come on the market frequently, one of the penthouse units sold earlier this year for approximately $1.5 million.
Have a great week!
Becky

A mural painted by Daniel Anguilu, a well-known street artist, is one of the prominent features of this home. The mural was first painted on the back wall of the home’s exterior. To accommodate an expansion, the mural was removed, and half of the mural is now an art installation in the living room that also includes the original window. The remaining half is on view in the backyard. I’d love to see this home on the Heights home tour!
