Hello BBBB Friends:
Things were a bit sluggish this week following Mother’s Day weekend with declines in new listings and new contracts. However, of the 30 new listings this week, there were a lot of very interesting properties. I am featuring seven for you today. Additionally, there were several price changes, new contracts for homes that are Still on My List. Keep scrolling down to see all of the changes!
HEIGHTS REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE
Single-family home sales were up by a whopping 68.7% in April. Even accounting for the slightly lower sales in April 2020 due to the corona virus-related shutdown, this is a staggering increase. Low interest rates drove the high-end market sending average and median sales prices soaring. Nineteen (19) million-dollar-plus homes were sold last month, compared to 5 in April 2020.
According to HAR Chairman Richard Miranda, “In my 20 years in real estate, I have never seen such dramatic forces sweeping across the Houston housing market as we have experienced since the coronavirus pandemic began. The market is humming along at a record pace, fueled by low mortgage rates despite dwindling inventory and rising prices. However, without a healthy boost in new listings in the weeks and months ahead, the current pace of sales cannot be sustained.”
Have a great week and,
Let’s go look at houses or talk about selling yours!!!
