Hello BBBB Friends:
It is another gorgeous day in the neighborhood and 4 of the homes I’m featuring today will be open this afternoon. Even if you are not in the market for a new home, 725 Harvard is a gorgeous example of a Queen Anne bungalow with a classic Craftsman interior. It’s worth a walk-through. Be sure to keep scrolling down for price improvements, new contracts and final sales for those homes that are Still on My List.
FUN STUFF-MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
In-person events are back so mark your calendars for these Spring offerings:
Monday, March 14: Houston Heights Association monthly meeting. This month, folks from the non-profit organization The Orange Show will headline the meeting. The Orange Show is known for the Art Car Parade, Smither Park and the iconic Beer Can House. Sheila Jackson Lee, district congresswoman representing the Heights, will also be on hand. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm at the Firehouse at 12th and Yale.
Saturday, March 26: The HHA Spring Concert Series at Marmion Park kicks off. The Weldon Henson Trio will entertain the neighborhood with Texas country tunes. Bring your own blankets, chairs, and food. Tap Truck will be on hand for beer and wine. From 3-5 pm.
Saturday, April 9: The Inaugural Houston Heights Pup Promenade will take place on Heights Boulevard and Marmion Park. There will be 3 “challenges” for you and your furry friend along the way. Collect all three challenge stamps for entry to the Pup Party at Marmion Park. 8 am to 12 pm.
Weekend, June 4-5: The 17th Houston Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt. This two-day weekend event is not a race but rather a casual self-paced ride. Identify mystery objects and sights along the way for a chance to win the scavenger hunt. Both 15 and 5-mile routes are offered.
Have a great week and,
Let’s go look at houses or talk about selling yours!!!
