Becky's Best Bungalow Bets for July 24, 2022: 5 New listings + Fun Stuff

Hello BBBB Friends:

We are well into the dog days of summer. Real estate in the Heights was quiet this week with fewer listings and new contracts. I have 5 new listings to share today. Keep scrolling down for price improvements, new contracts, and final sales for those homes that are Still on My List.

FUN STUFF COMING SOON

Houston Restaurant Weeks– August 1-September 6
IIt’s hard to believe, but when I moved into the Heights 30 years ago, there were only 3 or 4 restaurants in the Heights. Fast forward to today, and the Heights is a foodie destination! Houston Restaurant Weeks kicks off a week from tomorrow. This is a great opportunity to try out new menus and support our local restaurants and the Houston Food Bank! As of today, here is a list of the participating Heights restaurants:

  • Alice Blue
  • BB’s Tex-Orleans
  • Chivos
  • Coltivare
  • Da Gama Canteen
  • Harold’s Restaurant, Bar & Terrace
  • Harold’s Tap Room
  • Kin Dee Thai
  • Maisan Pucha Bistro
  • Mastrantos
  • Savoir
  • Trattoria Sofia

Brunch-$25; Lunch-$25; Dinner-$35 and $49.

White Linen Night- August 6
White Linen Night is back so don your coolest white linens and plan to join 40,000 of your closest friends along 19th Street for music, food and fun. Most of the businesses along 19th Street will be open and offer the opportunity not only to shop, but to enjoy a brief blast of air conditioning🫠. WLN isn’t limited to 19th St, business and restaurants throughout the Heights will also participate in the event with special festivities.

Have a great week and,

Let’s go look at houses or talk about selling yours!!!

715 Bayland

715 Bayland: $940,000

  • Covered back porch, small yard with patio, and artificial turf in rear
  • Driveway access with auto-gate to 1-car detached “garport”

This is a very nice recent construction bungalow. I love the transoms above the doors and the blue cabinets in the kitchen and primary bath. The curbed and guttered street is uncommon in Brooke Smith and enhances the streetscape.
