Hello BBBB Friends:
In the world of bungalows, there’s a perfect fit for everyone. Much like Goldilocks, who sought out the “just right” experience, I have three bungalows to share with you today: the small, the medium, and the super-sized (for a bungalow)! All three are located in historic districts and have been expanded and renovated, maintaining character and charm while also providing modern comfort and convenience. As always, please keep scrolling down to see price reductions, new contracts, and final sales for those homes that are Still on My List.
HEIGHTS CONSTABLE PROGRAM 411
Did you know that there are two constable programs serving the Heights community? The Houston Heights program, sponsored by the Houston Heights Association, covers both the Houston Heights and Sunset Heights neighborhoods. Meanwhile, the Woodland Heights Civic Association operates a program that specifically serves the Woodland Heights area. Please note that as of now, the Norhill and Brooksmith neighborhoods are not covered by a constable program.
Apart from the valuable increase in law enforcement presence within the neighborhood, these programs offer several benefits to their subscribers, including:
- Responding to alarm calls.
- Addressing HPD Dispatch requests.
- Conducting vacation watches.
- Conducting complimentary home security inspections for subscribers.
- Issuing tickets and making arrests.
- Sending crime alerts
If you reside in the Houston Heights area, subscriptions for the 2024 Constable Patrol Program are currently open and cover February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025. The annual fee is $385, which amounts to less than $1.05 per day. For more details and to view the coverage area, please click here.
For residents of Woodland Heights, subscriptions are not tied to a specific period; they are valid for a full year from the date of signup. The annual fee for this program is $350, which is equivalent to less than 96 cents per day. To learn more and access the service area map, please click here.
It’s important to note that these subscriptions are funded entirely by community members, and neighbor participation is crucial in enabling the provision of this vital service to our neighborhoods.
Have a great week, and,
Let’s look at houses or talk about selling yours!
