Becky's Best Bungalow Bets for Feb 19, 2023: 4 New + Best Crawfish in the Heights

Hello BBBB Friends:

Grab a cup of coffee and settle down with today’s BBBB. I have four new listings to share, plus a bunch of new contracts and final sales from among properties that are Still on My List. To see which homes may be off your list as well, keep scrolling down!

CRAWFISH CRAZE: HEIGHTS TOP 5

Crawfish season is in full swing, and while harvests in April and May will produce larger, plumper specimens, the current smaller counterparts boast the same flavor, even if it does take more work to make a mouthful! You can find some of Houston’s finest crawfish joints in The Heights. My own top five in the Heights are:

  • Boil House  606 E 11th St.  Offers authentic Louisiana-style crawfish. Outdoor tables for dining or order from the comfort of your car at the drive-thru window and take home.
  • BB’s Café  2701 White Oak Dr. Boasts a proprietary Cajun-style boil that packs a punch.
  • Crawfish Cafe 1026 N Shepherd  Not your average mudbug fare, pick your flavor: original, garlic butter, lemon pepper, coconut, and more.
  • Bagzz of Bugzz 2803 White Oak Dr. Pop-up restaurant at Teddy’s Ice House next to BB’s.
  • Flying Fish  1815 N Durham Crawfish plus hushpuppies! Yum! Sign up for their monthly BOGO!

If you love crawfish and big parties, you won’t want to miss the Annual Crawfish Festival sponsored by the Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce to be held Saturday, March 4 at 2025 11th Street (Resurrection MCC) from 11am to 6pm.

Have a great week and,

Let’s look at houses or talk about selling yours!
