Things that are normal for August: heat✔️, a dropoff in showings✔️, and a dropoff in listings✔️. After a blockbuster spring and summer in real estate, the slow-down feels like the bottom is dropping out of the market. However, open houses continue to have good traffic even if buyers are being more selective with the available inventory. I’m looking forward to September when we typically see an uptick in new listings. We are a little short on bungalows today, but I’m featuring 3 versions of a Greek Revival and a huge farmhouse-style home.
