Hello BBBB Friends:
While it was a slow week for new listings, I have six to share today, with four under $1 million! Plus, keep scrolling down to see status changes, including price changes, new contracts, and final sales for homes that are Still on My List!
STORMY WEATHER AHEAD?
While we could use a bit of rain, given how dry it’s been, it’s sobering to recall that six years ago this week, Hurricane Harvey dumped 50 inches of rain on the Houston area. If you were in Houston at the time, you may still be experiencing PTSD with every rainstorm that floods the city streets. It’s notable that The Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service, has increased its prediction for the ongoing 2023 Atlantic hurricane season from a near-normal level of activity to an above-normal level of activity. It’s good to remember that Hurricanes Ike, Harvey, Rita, and Alicia all hit Houston in mid-August or later. Hurricane season officially ends on November 30.
Is your flood insurance in force? Remember, it takes 30 days for new policies to go into effect. An exception to the 30-day rule is made for homebuyers who are financing their home. If you are paying cash, the 30-day waiting period still applies.
Have a great week, and,
Let’s look at houses or talk about selling yours!
