Becky's Best Bungalow Bets for Sept 8, 2024: 40% Increase in Median Home Prices ???

Hello BBBB Friends:

As a skeptic and avid number cruncher, I decided to verify the numbers myself after reading a Houston Chronicle article last Wednesday. The piece quoted a report from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar that pointed to a staggering 40% jump in median home prices across Texas from 2019 to 2023. Intrigued and a bit dubious, I pulled up the statistics for Houston Heights, where we saw a less dramatic increase of 26.81% over the same period. Here’s the yearly breakdown: a 3.52% rise from 2019 to 2020, a 5.83% climb the next year, a jump of 9.09% from 2021 to 2022, and a 6.10% increase the following year. This exercise really underscores the unique nature of each local real estate market and even neighborhoods.

Today, I’m featuring four big and beautiful new listings. Be sure to check out the double house offering at 1536 Rutlandt! I am also providing updates for homes that are “Still on My List”**. Enjoy.

Have a great week, and,

Let’s look at houses or talk about selling yours!
